The Truth About Palm Oil
Palm Oil is a vegetable oil from the palm fruit that is high in saturated fact and only grows in tropical lands. It is originally from a seed of a plant and usually red, but when it is refined it becomes colorless. It is used in food manufacturing, beauty products, household goods, and biofuel. It helps products keep a longer shelf life.

Harvesting Palm Oil
Harvesting of palm oil contributes to global deforestation and habitat loss for 8 of the most vulnerable animals, and primarily orangutans.

Animals Being Hurt By Palm Oil
These animals include the tiger, the rhino, the Asian elephant, the sun bear, the clouded leopard, the proboscis monkey, and the gibbon. There are less than 70,000 orangutans left. 90% of the forest has been cleared by these companies. Please do your research on what products to buy that do not have palm oil in it. We must do something as consumers to help animals.
