How it All Began
Franceil Masi, Founder and Owner
Ever since she was a little girl, Franceil loved animals. She grew up on a farm with 18 dogs, 3 chickens, 3 horses, a prairie dog, and iguana, a few bunny rabbits, and the wilderness as her backyard. After a few pulled lizard tails, her mother taught her to respect animals. Franceil moved away from her family and attended USC where she received a degree in English. At 25, she decided to be an educator. It was when An Inconvenient Truth came out she became passionate about the environment.
When Franceil taught in the Inner-City, she organized almost every Earth Day at her school. One year she organized the planting of 50 trees with Tree People and Disney VoluntEARS that still flourish today. Franceil makes it a point to educate her students about what is happening to animals and their environment and teaches students to be more eco conscious when they are making choices in everyday life. She hopes with your help we can save animals so that future generations can coexist peacefully with them.
Franceil has worked with LAUSD as a teacher for the last 22 years.
