How it All Began

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved animals. I grew up on a farm with 18 dogs, 3 chickens, 3 horses, a prairie dog, and iguana, a few bunny rabbits, and the wilderness as my backyard. After a few pulled lizard tails, my mother taught me to respect animals. I moved away from my family and attended USC where I received a degree in English. At 25, I decided to be an educator. It was when An Inconvenient Truth came out I became passionate about the environment.

When I taught in the Inner-City, I organized almost every Earth Day and one year I organized the planting of 50 trees that still flourish today. I make it a point to educate my students about what is happening to animals and their environment and teach students to be more eco conscious when they are making choices in everyday life. I hope with your help we can save the animals so that future generations can coexist peacefully with them.
